Cascadas de Texolo Trailhead
Parking area and trail access for the spectacular Texolo Falls, a 80-meter cascade dropping into a volcanic amphitheater. Well-marked trailhead with basic facilities and local guides available for canyoning activities. Trail to the main viewpoint is moderate difficulty, about 45 minutes each way through dense cloud forest. Popular with adventure tourists but not overcrowded on weekdays.
Access via paved road from Xico, then 3km on good gravel. Parking can accommodate about 15 vehicles including larger rigs. Entry fee collected by local community cooperative. Best visited during dry season (November-April) when water levels are manageable for swimming. Bring insect repellent — mosquitoes are aggressive in the humid canyon environment.
