Camping Lago Puelo Nacional
This established campground sprawls along the southern shore of Lago Puelo in a mixed forest of coihues and radales. Forty-five numbered sites with fire rings and picnic tables, plus clean bathroom blocks with hot showers and laundry sinks. The setting is spectacular—crystal-clear lake backed by jagged peaks, with a sandy beach perfect for evening swims after dusty trail days.
Sites fill up during Argentine summer holidays (December-February), so arrive early or book ahead. The campground sits 3km from the park entrance on a good gravel road. No hookups, but there’s a dump station and potable water spigots throughout. Firewood sold on-site.
