BLM House Range West Desert Dispersed Area
The House Range offers true solitude in Utah’s vast West Desert — towering limestone cliffs rising from sagebrush flats with camping scattered along the base of Notch Peak and Sawtooth Mountain. Sites are primitive pull-offs in sandy washes and on gravel benches, each with commanding views of endless basin-and-range country. Fire restrictions typically in effect May-October. Absolutely no facilities or services.
Access from Highway 6/50 via Antelope Springs Road or from the south via Marjum Pass Road — both decent gravel but can be rough after storms. The area sees maybe a dozen visitors per month outside of rockhounding season. Nearest services 60+ miles away in Delta or Hinckley. Bring everything, including extra water and fuel.
