Barguzin River Natural Spring

This natural spring emerges from the granite bedrock of the Barguzin Ridge foothills, providing crystal-clear mountain water year-round. Local sable hunters have used this spot for generations as a reliable water source during long wilderness expeditions. The spring maintains a constant flow even during Siberian winters, though access requires breaking through surface ice.

Located about 15 kilometers from the main Barguzin settlement via a rough hunting track that’s passable only with high-clearance 4WD. The spring sits in a small clearing marked by an old wooden shelter frame — look for the moss-covered rocks where the water emerges. No facilities, just pure mountain water in one of Russia’s most remote wilderness areas.
