Isle of Man

Baldrine — Ballamodha Straight Fuel and Isle of Man TT Corridor Stop

Fuel Station

Baldrine sits on the A2 east coast road between Douglas and Ramsey, close enough to the Mountain Course that you can feel the DNA of the TT in the tarmac. It’s not a destination — it’s a practical stop. Fuel here before heading up onto Snaefell or tackling the A18 Mountain Road, because options thin out fast once you leave the coast. The island is small but the mountain interior is genuinely remote by IoM standards, and running dry up there is embarrassing.

The A18 Mountain Road itself is a highlight — climbing past the Bungalow and the Snaefell summit tram station before dropping into Ramsey. Open year-round but closed during TT and Manx Grand Prix race weeks in late May–June and August–September. Plan accordingly or you’re going nowhere fast. Verify fuel opening hours ahead — IoM stations keep shorter hours than mainland UK.

Fuel up before the mountain road.
