Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary Campground — Arkaroola Village
This is your anchor point for the Arkaroola Ridge-Top Tour and everything else the northern Flinders Ranges throws at you. The campground sits inside Arkaroola Village alongside the creek, run by the Sanctuary itself. You’ve got powered and unpowered sites, hot showers, a camp kitchen, and a small store for basic resupply. The Arkaroola Spa Pool is a short walk away — you’ll want it after a day grinding the Ridge-Top Track. It gets busy during school holidays and Easter; book ahead or you’ll be scrambling. Star-gazing from here is ridiculous — this place is in a recognised dark sky zone.
Access is sealed to Copley then around 130 km of dirt road via Leigh Creek or the Moolawatana track. Standard 4WD recommended, especially after rain when creek crossings can bite. Water is available on-site. Fire restrictions apply — check current conditions before you light anything.
