Allison Lake Provincial Park Campground — Princeton Corridor
Allison Lake Provincial Park sits on a small lake about 25 km north of Princeton along Highway 5A. It’s a legit BC Parks campground with 23 sites, pit toilets, and a boat launch — nothing flashy, but it’s clean, well-positioned, and far less crowded than the big Highway 3 corridor parks. Good fishing for stocked rainbow trout. The lake is calm and the ponderosa pines give enough shade to make a hot summer afternoon bearable. Sites can handle rigs with trailers.
Highway 5A is paved all the way from Merritt to Princeton, so access is easy regardless of your rig. This is a strong overnight if you’re running the Beaverdell–Conkle Lake FSR loop, pushing into Similkameen country, or transiting between the Okanagan and the Coquihalla. BC Parks reservation system applies in peak season — walk-ins possible shoulder season. Open roughly May through October.
