Llanberis — Pete’s Eats and High Street Fuel and Full Resupply
Llanberis is the undisputed gateway town for the Snowdon massif and the wider Eryri National Park. High Street has a Spar, a post office, a fuel station, and Pete’s Eats — a legendary climbers’ and walkers’ café that’s been feeding people obscene plates of food since 1979. It’s loud, cheap, and exactly what you want after a wet day on the hill. The town also has a YHA hostel, several B&Bs, and the Snowdon Mountain Railway terminus if you need a tourist fix. For overlanders it’s the last proper resupply before heading up the Llanberis Pass toward Pen y Pass, or west toward the Nantlle Ridge.
The fuel station on High Street is small — tight approach for long rigs with trailers, do a drive-by first. Town car parks are pay-and-display. Cell signal is solid throughout. Llanberis Lake (Llyn Padarn) has a lakeside pull-in worth knowing for a lunch stop.
Snowdonia's base camp. Fuel up, eat big.
