Tay River Territorial Campground — Campbell Highway
The Tay River Territorial Campground sits along the Campbell Highway (Yukon Highway 4) near the Tay River crossing, deep in Pelly Mountains country. It’s a quiet, shaded pull-off with basic territorial amenities — pit toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and river access for water if you treat it. Traffic through here is light and the pace is slow. Good spot to stretch out before or after the Faro corridor runs.
Campbell Highway can throw serious washboard between Ross River and Watson Lake — plan accordingly on tire pressure and suspension. Campground is accessible to high-clearance 2WD rigs running the highway. No hookups, no reservations — first come, first served. Cell service is absent. Keep a bear box or hang your food; grizzly country out here is not a suggestion.
