Teslin Lake Territorial Campground — Alaska Highway
Teslin Lake Territorial Campground sits on the eastern shore of Teslin Lake along the Alaska Highway, roughly 180 km southeast of Whitehorse. It’s a well-maintained Yukon Government campground with multiple sites spread through the spruce and poplar, most with lake access or at least lake views. Fire rings, picnic tables, pit toilets, and a boat launch are on-site. It fills up in July and August — get here early afternoon if you’re rolling through peak summer. The lake itself is massive, cold, and stunning at sunset.
Access is right off the Alaska Highway — any rig can get here with no drama. Operated by the Yukon Government under their territorial campground system. Good staging point for the Campbell Highway southwest or for overlanders pushing north toward Whitehorse. Cell signal is minimal. Firewood is typically available on-site or nearby. Open late May through early September.
Big lake, big sky, right off the Alaska Highway.
