Lapie Canyon Territorial Campground — Campbell Highway
Lapie Canyon Campground is one of those places that earns its keep on scenery alone. The Lapie River has carved a deep, narrow limestone canyon right next to the campground, and you can walk to the rim and look straight down into aquamarine pools. It’s a Yukon Government territorial campground with pit toilets, fire rings, and basic sites — raw and quiet, with almost zero traffic except serious Campbell Highway runners. Good proximity to the Ross River area and the Faro–Ketza River corridor.
Access is directly off the Campbell Highway (YT-4) — gravel road, but well-maintained for most of the season. Any high-clearance rig is fine; even capable 2WD rigs handle it in dry conditions. Cell service is nonexistent out here. Open late May through September depending on conditions. Yukon Parks manages it; nightly fee applies. Stock up in Ross River (roughly 50 km east) before arriving.
Limestone canyon walls, zero crowds.
