Emory Creek Provincial Park Campground — Fraser Canyon

Established Campground

Emory Creek sits in a tight canyon pocket just off Highway 1 near Hope, where Emory Creek meets the Fraser River. It’s a real BC Parks campground with defined sites, pit toilets, and fire rings — nothing fancy, but the creek noise and old-growth Douglas fir canopy make it feel deeper in the wilderness than it actually is. About 34 sites, suitable for most rigs including larger trailers if you pick your line. Gets busy on summer weekends with Fraser Canyon travellers, but weeknight use is moderate.

Primary access is right off Highway 1 — no rough road required. That makes it a legit staging camp before you commit to the Blackwall Road into Manning Park, or a decompression stop heading home from the Stein Valley. Water from the creek should be treated; the campground does not have treated water on site. Check BC Parks for current fire restriction status before you arrive — the Fraser Canyon corridor can have bans in place by midsummer.

Shaded canyon camp minutes off Hwy 1.
