Sparwood — Husky Station Highway 3 Fuel and Resupply
Sparwood is the last proper town before the roads go rough heading into the Elk Valley and the BC-Alberta border country. The Husky on Highway 3 is the go-to fuel stop — diesel available, decent-sized lot that’ll handle a rig with a trailer, and a convenience store that covers basic resupply. There’s a grocery store in town if you need more than gas station food. It’s not glamorous but it’s real and it’s there when you need it.
If you’re running the Elk Pass FSR to Elk Lakes, or pushing up the Potato Creek FSR corridor toward Windy Pass, Sparwood is your last realistic fuel option. Don’t assume you’ll find anything usable further up the valley. Fill up here, top off your water if needed, and sort any last-minute gear checks before the road turns to gravel.
Last diesel before the Elk Valley goes wild.
