Meziadin Junction — Esso and Grocery Resupply

Fuel Station

Meziadin Junction sits at the junction of Highway 37 (Cassiar Highway) and Highway 37A heading west toward Stewart, BC and Hyder, Alaska. The Esso station here is a genuine lifeline — remote northern BC means the next fuel in either direction is a long stretch. They carry basic groceries, propane, and basic road supplies. The area around the junction is raw northern wilderness; glacier-fed Meziadin Lake is right there and worth a look. Don’t show up expecting a full mechanic bay or hot food — it’s a small operation.

Overlanders running Cassiar Highway north from the Skeena country toward Dease Lake pass directly through here. Vehicle minimum is any rig, but the highways north of here degrade — high-clearance earns its keep. Road construction seasons can affect travel times significantly; check BC Ministry of Transportation for active flagging zones on Hwy 37. Fuel up here regardless of your gauge — do not gamble on what’s north.

Last fuel before the Cassiar wilderness swallows you.
