Ashley National Forest Browns Park Dispersed Area
Expansive dispersed camping area spread across rolling sagebrush hills at 6,400 feet elevation. Multiple pull-offs accommodate everything from solo rigs to large groups, with spectacular sunrise views over the Uinta range. Sites are mostly open with minimal shade but excellent drainage. Popular staging area for Green River rafters and fossil hunters. Fire rings at some established spots, but bring your own wood.
Access via Browns Park Road is good gravel suitable for any vehicle. Area stays open year-round but can be brutally cold and windy in winter. Spring mud season makes some sites inaccessible March through early May. Vault toilet at main staging area but no water.
