BLM Little Sahara Sand Dunes Dispersed Area
Scattered dispersed sites ring the perimeter of Little Sahara Recreation Area, offering front-row seats to one of Utah’s largest sand dune complexes. Most spots are just wide pull-offs in the scrub oak with fire rings left by previous campers. Expect ATV noise during peak weekends and complete exposure to wind and sun. Sites fill up during spring break and summer holidays when the dune riders descend.
Access is straightforward on maintained dirt roads, though sand can drift across the tracks after windstorms. Winter camping is possible but cold, with occasional snow. No water, no shade, no services — bring everything including firewood since deadfall is scarce.
