Ricketts Glen State Park Beach Lake Dispersed Sites
Primitive camping area along an old logging road near Beach Lake in the northern wilderness section of Ricketts Glen. About 8-10 scattered sites in dense hardwood forest, most suitable for tent camping or small rigs. Stone fire rings scattered throughout, but you’ll need to build your own. Popular with hunters in fall, nearly empty most other times.
Access requires a 1.5-mile hike or high-clearance drive on the old Red Rock Road from PA-487. Road gets rough after rains but usually passable. No water source – pack in everything. Strictly leave-no-trace area.
