Promised Land State Park
This sprawling state park wraps around two pristine glacial lakes in the heart of the Poconos, offering 557 campsites spread across multiple loops under towering hemlocks and oaks. Most sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, with electric hookups, fire rings, and picnic tables. The beach area gets busy on summer weekends, but the back loops stay quiet. Lake access for fishing and non-motorized boats.
Open year-round but water’s shut off in winter. The park sits at 1,800 feet elevation, so nights can be surprisingly cool even in summer. Popular with families, but the sheer size means you can always find space. Good cell coverage throughout most of the park.
