Þjóðveldisbær Viking Longhouse Historical Site

This authentic recreation of a 1000-year-old Icelandic farm sits in the lush Þjórsárdalur valley, offering a glimpse into how Vikings lived before the medieval period. The reconstructed turf longhouse, blacksmith shop, and church create an atmospheric stop that feels worlds away from modern Iceland.
