Mono Hot Springs Resort and Campground
Mono Hot Springs sits at 7,400 feet in the Sierra National Forest, offering a unique combination of natural hot springs, established camping, and wilderness access. The resort features several natural rock pools fed by mineral springs, plus a small store, cafe, and rustic cabins. The campground has about 25 sites with picnic tables and fire rings, though no hookups. Popular with PCT hikers and overlanders heading to Edison Lake or backcountry trailheads.
Access requires 18 miles of narrow, winding mountain road from Highway 168 — high-clearance recommended but not required. Open seasonally from late May through October, weather permitting. The springs maintain a steady 103°F year-round. Cell service is nonexistent, and the nearest fuel is back in Bishop. Reservations strongly recommended for summer weekends.
