Bushkill Creek Natural Swimming Hole

This natural swimming hole sits along Bushkill Creek where the water has carved smooth granite pools deep enough for swimming. Popular with locals but still relatively unknown to tourists, offering clear mountain water and flat rocks perfect for lounging. The main pool is about 8 feet deep with a gentle current. Surrounded by hemlock and rhododendron, providing good shade on hot summer days.

Access requires a short quarter-mile hike down a steep but well-worn trail from the parking area. Water stays cold even in summer — bring a wetsuit if you’re not hardy. Best visited on weekdays to avoid crowds. No facilities, so pack out everything you bring in.
