Cathedral Gorge State Park

Dramatic slot canyon formations with established camping and iconic bentonite clay spires in eastern Nevada.

Cathedral Gorge showcases surreal bentonite clay formations carved into narrow slot canyons and towering spires. The park offers 22 developed campsites with tables, fire rings, and restrooms, plus RV sites with hookups. The dramatic landscape feels otherworldly, especially during golden hour when the clay formations glow. Sites fill quickly during cooler months.

Located just off Highway 93, the park provides easy access to several hiking trails through the slot canyons. Water and dump station available on-site. Reservations recommended March through October. Summer temperatures can be brutal, making fall through spring the prime visiting window.
