Roaring Run Natural Area Dispersed Camping

Dispersed Camping

A network of unmarked dispersed sites scattered along forest service roads in the Roaring Run Natural Area, offering primitive camping among hardwood hollows. Sites range from pull-offs big enough for one rig to small clearings that can handle 2-3 vehicles, with Roaring Run creek providing ambient sound and water access. Most sites have existing fire rings and are popular with hunters during fall season.

Access via gravel FS roads that can get rough after rain — high-clearance recommended but not always required. No facilities or services, pack it in and pack it out. Best spring through fall, winter access depends on weather and road conditions.
