Ricketts Glen State Park Campground
This developed campground sits at the heart of Ricketts Glen’s 13,050 acres, offering 120 sites split between electric hookup and primitive areas. The campground serves as base camp for both the famous Falls Trail (33 waterfalls) and the lesser-known network of maintenance roads that make solid 4×4 routes. Sites are spacious with fire rings and picnic tables, though the place fills fast during peak foliage season. Showers, flush toilets, and a camp store handle the basics.
Reserve well ahead for summer and fall weekends — walk-ups are rare. The campground sits at 1,300 feet elevation, making spring and fall the sweet spots for comfortable camping. Winter camping available but facilities are limited. Main access is paved, but some interior campground roads can get muddy after heavy rain.
