Termales de San Vicente Natural Hot Springs

Point of Interest

Hidden in the mountains east of Manizales, these natural thermal springs emerge from volcanic rock in a series of terraced pools ranging from 38°C to 45°C. The rustic facility offers basic camping areas near the springs, with simple shelters and composting toilets. The surrounding cloud forest creates a mystical atmosphere, especially in the early morning when mist rises from the hot water.

Access requires high-clearance 4WD for the final 8 kilometers on a steep, rocky trail through coffee plantations. The road can be impassable during heavy rains from October to December. Basic food service is available on weekends, but bring your own supplies for weekday visits. Popular with Colombian backpackers who make the challenging hike from the nearest village.
