Manantial Los Azufres Hot Springs Complex
A complex of natural hot springs fed by volcanic activity in the mountains east of Morelia. Multiple pools at different temperatures, from barely warm to scalding hot. The main springs have been developed with basic facilities including changing areas and a small restaurant. Fresh cold water available from mountain springs nearby.
Reached via Highway 15 east from Morelia, then mountain roads through pine forests. Popular with Mexican families on weekends. Some pools stay clothing-optional, others family-friendly. The area also serves as a water source for overlanders — fill up from the cold springs, not the hot ones.
