Little Sahara Recreation Area Sand Dunes Dispersed Camping
This BLM rec area west of Delta offers dispersed camping scattered across 60,000 acres of rolling sand dunes. Most folks pull their rigs right up to the edge of the riding areas — you’ll see everything from Class A motorhomes with toy haulers to pickup trucks with rooftop tents lined up along the dune perimeter. Popular with ATV and dirt bike crowds, especially on weekends when it turns into a temporary tent city.
Access is straightforward on paved roads, then maintained gravel. No facilities whatsoever — pack water, pack out trash. Prime season runs March through October, though summer gets brutally hot. Winter can be surprisingly cold with occasional snow dusting the dunes.
