Cloudland Canyon State Park Backcountry Campground
Twelve primitive walk-in sites perched along the rim of Cloudland Canyon, each requiring a short hike from the parking area with your gear. Sites offer fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets, but no water — pack what you need. The canyon views at sunrise are worth the effort, and you’re steps from trailheads leading to Cherokee and Hemlock Falls.
Access via the main park road is paved, but sites themselves are a 100-200 yard walk from parking. Popular with through-hikers and serious campers, so reserve ahead for weekends. Water available at the visitor center, but not at the sites themselves.
