Parque Nacional Los Cardones Camping Tin Tin
Camping Tin Tin sits at 3,200 meters elevation in Salta Province, surrounded by massive cardón cacti that can live over 300 years. The campground offers basic facilities with pit toilets and picnic tables, but no water — bring your own supply. Sites are on sandy ground with spectacular views of the Calchaquí Valley and the colored rock formations of Quebrada de las Conchas nearby.
Access is via Ruta Nacional 40, paved but winding through mountain passes where altitude affects some visitors. The campground is managed by Argentina’s national parks service with a small entrance fee. Nights are cold year-round due to the elevation, and strong winds are common. Fire restrictions apply during dry months, and the nearest resupply is in Cachi, 30km south.
