Peacham Bog Natural Area

Point of Interest

A pristine sphagnum bog surrounded by mixed forest, accessible via a quarter-mile boardwalk that keeps you dry while exploring this fragile ecosystem. Look for pitcher plants, sundews, and rare orchids in summer, plus excellent bird watching year-round. The boardwalk leads to an observation platform overlooking the main bog area.

Access via a small dirt parking area off Peacham Bog Road, about 2 miles east of Peacham village. The road can be muddy in spring and after heavy rains but handles 2WD vehicles most of the season. No facilities here — this is pure nature observation. Best visited May through October when the boardwalk isn’t snow-covered.
