Innamincka Regional Reserve Campground

Established Campground

Innamincka sits on the banks of Cooper Creek where Burke and Wills met their fate, offering powered and unpowered sites under river red gums. The campground has clean amenities blocks with hot showers, dump point, and a small kiosk selling basics. Sites book out during cooler months when grey nomads descend, but there’s usually space for self-contained rigs. The pub serves decent meals and cold beer after dusty days on the Strzelecki.

Access is via sealed road from Lyndhurst or the gravel Strzelecki Track from the north. Creek crossings can be impassable after big rains. The town has fuel, basic groceries, and mechanical services – your last proper resupply before heading into the Simpson Desert or continuing north on the Strzelecki.
