Land Ranger Deeside has been working on Land Rovers since 1986, from 1950s Series rigs to modern Range Rovers. It’s an independent shop at Rowleys Park in Shotton, on the Flintshire side of the Welsh border near Chester. They run a parts department and do servicing, diagnostics, wheel alignment, tyre fitting and upgrades. For a Defender or Discovery owner heading into Snowdonia or the Welsh green lanes, that covers most of what you’ll need before the lanes.

Treat it as a specialist parts-and-workshop stop rather than a camping store, and don’t expect gear or fuel cans. Their listed hours are weekday daytime only, so Saturday emergencies are out.
