Polebridge Mercantile

The Polebridge Mercantile stands as the last outpost before entering Glacier National Park’s remote North Fork district. This weathered log building serves up famous bear claws, huckleberry pie, and cold drinks alongside basic groceries, maps, and camping supplies. The place runs on solar power and maintains an old-west vibe that’s completely authentic — no cell service, cash preferred, and the kind of atmosphere where locals swap trail conditions over coffee.

Open seasonally from late May through September, with limited winter hours. The dirt road in can be rough after rain, but any vehicle can make it. Stock up here before heading to Bowman Lake or Kintla Lake, as it’s your last chance for supplies and that legendary bakery fuel.
