This remote wash system offers primitive camping scattered along several miles of sandy braided channels and low benches. Sites are naturally defined by the terrain—sandy flats between creosote and Joshua trees, with excellent star viewing away from any light pollution. Most sites can handle large rigs on the main wash, though flash flood potential means staying on higher ground during any weather. No facilities whatsoever.
Access requires navigating unmarked desert roads off Cima Road. GPS essential as the network of tracks can be confusing. Popular with serious desert rats seeking solitude. Avoid during summer heat and winter storms that can make the sandy access impassable.
