A series of well-used dispersed sites along Mosquito Creek, each with established fire rings and relatively level parking. The creek provides a reliable water source through most of the season, though filtration is essential. Sites range from single-vehicle spots to larger areas that can handle small groups. True to its name, mosquitoes can be fierce in early summer.
Located partway up the Mosquito Pass road from Highway 9. Standard high-clearance vehicles can reach the lower sites; upper sites may require 4WD depending on conditions. Popular staging area for Mosquito Pass attempts and nearby 14er climbs. Gets busy during peak summer and fall colors.
