Daweb Campsite — Naukluft 4×4 Trail
Daweb is one of the designated overnight sites managed by Namibia Wildlife Resorts along the Naukluft 4×4 Trail — a technically demanding loop through the Namib-Naukluft National Park that sees far fewer rigs than Sossusvlei but rewards the ones that make the effort. The site sits near a natural waterhole on the plateau and offers a fire ring and a basic drop toilet. Nights here are brutal-cold and absolutely star-packed. Carry all your water in; don’t count on the waterhole being full enough to treat and drink. Capacity is intentionally limited — NWR only issues a handful of permits per day to protect the route.
Access is via the Naukluft 4×4 loop, requiring a 4WD with a low-range transfer case and solid ground clearance. Booking is mandatory through NWR Windhoek well in advance — this trail fills fast in dry season. The trail is typically open April through October; avoid the wet season when rocky ledges turn lethal. No cell signal. Carry a GPS track and paper topo.
