Adcock Gorge Campground — Gibb River Road
Adcock Gorge Campground sits right off the Gibb River Road roughly 400 km east of Derby, managed by the Western Australian Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. It’s a no-frills bush camp — a handful of sites in the scrub, a drop toilet, and walking-distance access to Adcock Gorge’s cool, clear swimming hole. Low vehicle count compared to Manning or Bell, so you’re more likely to score a quiet night here. Dry season (May–September) is the window — the road and creek crossing become impassable in the wet.
Access from the Gibb is straightforward on good gravel, suitable for any 4WD touring setup. No drinking water on site — carry your own. Campfire restrictions apply in the dry season due to high fire danger; check DPIRD alerts before you go. Fees apply and are typically paid via self-registration on site.
