Büllsport Farm — Tsaris Pass Eastern Approach Dispersed Camp

Dispersed Camping

This is raw Hardap Region desert camping on the sandy wash below Tsaris Pass, east of the Büllsport private conservancy boundary. The surrounding landscape is classic Namibian escarpment — scrub acacia, dry riverbeds, and big silence. No facilities here: you carry everything in and everything out. Nights get cold fast at this elevation, so come prepared. The spot is used by self-sufficient overlanders tackling the Naukluft–Zebra River Canyon route who need to camp before or after the technical Tsaris Pass climb.

Access requires a high-clearance 4WD — the track to the wash is rocky and loose in places. The Tsaris Pass road itself is unmaintained; check conditions with NWR or Büllsport Farm before committing. Cell signal is effectively zero. Carry a minimum of two days’ water — nearest reliable source is Büllsport Farm or Maltahöhe town. Stay within existing tracks and leave no trace.
