Willow Flowage Dispersed Camping
The Willow Flowage offers several dispersed camping spots along its eastern shore, accessible via Forest Road 2182 off County Road FF. Sites range from small clearings that fit one rig to larger openings that can handle multiple vehicles. Most spots sit within 50 yards of the water with decent fishing for northern pike and bass. No facilities whatsoever — pack out everything, including your waste.
Road access is decent gravel for the first mile, then gets rougher with some muddy spots after rain. High-clearance vehicles recommended for the better sites. Popular with local fishermen during walleye runs, but weekdays are usually quiet. Fire restrictions apply during dry periods — check current status before heading out.
