Willow Canyon Outdoor — 100 East Kanab Grand Staircase Camp Gear, Maps and Guidebooks

Willow Canyon is a small shop, about 1,300 square feet, that has been on the Kanab scene since 1994. It’s part gear store, part bookstore, part espresso bar. You’ll find camp gear, packs, apparel, and a good rack of maps and guidebooks for the Colorado Plateau. The stock leans toward what this country asks of you: canyon, desert, and river gear. It is not a parts store. You won’t find winches, lockers, or lift kits here. What you will find is a place to grab a map before you point the rig at Grand Staircase-Escalante, the Paria, or the North Rim, plus a fresh coffee while you sort the route.

It’s on a paved street in town, so any vehicle gets you there. Kanab sits between Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon, which means the shop gets busy in peak summer and spring. Hours change with the season and the shop has changed owners, so call ahead at (435) 644-8884 or check the website before you count on a particular item. For anything mechanical, plan on bringing your own spares.
