Valley Forge National Historical Park Visitor Center
The visitor center sits at the heart of the 3,500-acre park where you can walk the Encampment Trail past reconstructed soldier huts and see where Washington’s Continental Army nearly starved but emerged stronger. The 6-mile Valley Forge Bike Trail connects key sites including Washington’s Headquarters and the National Memorial Arch. Park roads are paved but the trail system includes gravel and dirt segments through wooded areas.
Open year-round with free admission, though the visitor center has seasonal hours. Parking is ample near the center, and the park allows dispersed parking at multiple trailheads. Spring and fall offer the best weather for exploring on foot, while winter can be muddy after storms.
