Fifteen developed campsites ring a small mountain lake at 2,400 feet elevation in the George Washington National Forest. Sites accommodate RVs up to 22 feet with picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. The lake offers decent trout fishing, and several hiking trails connect to the North Fork Mountain ridge system. Sites 8-12 offer the best lake views.
Access via WV-259 then Forest Road 500 — paved all the way in. Popular with locals on weekends but rarely full mid-week. No hookups or showers, but potable water available from hand pumps. Open April through October.
