Susquehanna State Forest Greenwood Furnace Campground
This 12-site campground sits in a hollow beside Greenwood Furnace State Park, with basic sites around the remnants of a Civil War-era iron operation. Sites have fire rings and picnic tables, vault toilets, but no water source on-site—bring your own or fill up at the state park visitor center a quarter-mile away. The historic furnace stack and interpretive trail make for an interesting evening walk.
Access is directly off Route 305, no dirt roads required. Open year-round but water is shut off November through March. Sites are first-come, first-served and rarely full except during fall foliage season.
Historic iron furnace ruins meet forest camping.
