Sawtooth National Forest Mirror Lake Dispersed Sites
A handful of unmarked dispersed sites scattered around Mirror Lake at 8,200 feet elevation in the Sawtooth Mountains. Sites sit among granite boulders and scattered whitebark pines, with space for 2-3 rigs max per spot. The lake provides decent trout fishing and reflects the jagged peaks on calm mornings. No facilities whatsoever — pack everything in and out. Fire restrictions typically in effect July through September.
Access via Forest Road 209 requires high-clearance 4WD for the last 3 miles of loose rock and steep grades. Snow blocks access until mid-June most years. Popular with local hunters in October, otherwise quiet. Cell service nonexistent.
