Reine Fjord — Reinefjorden Viewpoint from Reinebringen Ridge

Point of Interest

Reinebringen is the ridgeline that towers above the fishing village of Reine at the southern end of the E10. The view from the top — or even from the pull-outs on the road just below — is the definitive Lofoten image: serrated peaks, deep fjord arms, scattered islets, and the tight cluster of traditional red-painted rorbu cabins on the waterfront. On a clear day with snow on the summits, it’s the kind of place that makes hardened overlanders stop mid-drive and just sit with it for a while.

The proper trailhead for Reinebringen is a short distance from the village of Reine, with stairs and a flagged path up the ridge. The E10 pull-outs below give solid fjord views without hiking. The road through here is paved and manageable by any vehicle, though parking fills fast in summer. Come early morning or late evening — the midnight sun makes timing flexible from June through mid-July.

Lofoten's most iconic fjord panorama.
