Playa Cerritos Dispersed Beach Camping
Playa Cerritos stretches for miles along Baja’s Pacific coast, offering primitive beach camping where you can park your rig directly on the packed sand. The beach faces west toward the open Pacific, delivering epic sunsets and consistent surf. Most overlanders camp along the bluff behind the beach or on the beach itself during low tide. No facilities — just you, the waves, and pelican formations cruising the shoreline.
Access via a signed dirt road off Highway 19, about 20 minutes south of Todos Santos. The road down to the beach can be soft sand in places, so air down if needed. Best during dry season when the access road stays firm. Weekends see local families, but weekdays you might have miles of beach to yourself.
