Pandie Pandie Station

Working cattle station offering basic camping, cold drinks, and fuel — a welcome sight halfway up the Birdsville Track.

This working cattle station sits roughly halfway between Marree and Birdsville, offering travelers a chance to refuel, grab cold drinks, and camp for the night. The station homestead dates back to the 1880s and the current owners are friendly to overlanders passing through. Basic camping is available in a designated area near the homestead, with drop toilets and tank water available.

Fuel is usually available (diesel and unleaded) but call ahead or check at Marree before heading up — they’re not always open and supplies can run low during busy periods. The station track is well-maintained gravel but watch for cattle grids and wandering stock. Camping fees are reasonable and paid on the honor system.
