Ohiopyle State Park Kentuck Campground
Kentuck Campground sits along the Youghiogheny River in the heart of Ohiopyle State Park, offering 226 sites ranging from primitive tent spots to full hookup RV sites. The campground splits into modern and rustic sections, with the rustic area feeling more secluded among tall hemlocks and rhododendrons. Sites 101-125 are closest to the river and fill up fast during peak whitewater season (April-October). Fire rings and picnic tables at every site, with clean bathhouses and a camp store on-site.
Access is straightforward via paved park roads, though the campground fills completely on summer weekends and requires reservations March through November. The rustic sites offer better privacy for overlanders, while the modern section provides dump stations and hookups. Best shoulder seasons are late fall and early spring when the crowds thin but facilities remain open.
