Mayo Landing Territorial Campground — Stewart River
Mayo Landing Campground sits right at the edge of town on the Stewart River — pit toilets, fire rings, basic tables, and flat gravel pads. It’s not glamorous, but it’s exactly what you need after grinding the Silver Trail or before heading up the mining roads toward Keno City summit. The town of Mayo is 300 meters away: grocery, fuel, hardware, and a laundromat. The campground is shaded by spruce and cottonwood, with river access for water and a view across the braided Stewart flats.
Accessed directly off Silver Trail Highway 11 — paved right to the entrance, any rig handles it with zero drama. Busy in summer with canoeists and overlanders alike. Managed by Yukon Government; nightly fee applies. Season runs roughly late May through September. Cell service in town is partial — better than most places on the Silver Trail.
