Ethel Lake Territorial Campground — Silver Trail

Established Campground

Ethel Lake Territorial Campground is a solid base for anyone exploring the Silver Trail corridor between Mayo and Keno City. The camp sits right on Ethel Lake — good fishing, flat sites, pit toilets, fire rings, and that classic northern boreal silence that you don’t get closer to Whitehorse. It’s small and quiet, draws mostly anglers and the occasional overlander passing through. No showers, no hookups, no cell signal worth mentioning.

The Silver Trail itself is paved to Mayo and mostly gravel beyond — this campground is accessible to any stock rig. Push further up toward Keno Hill and the mining roads and you’ll want clearance. Late May through early September is your window before freeze-up makes things dicey. First-come, first-served like most Yukon territorial camps.

Quiet lake camp on the Silver Trail.
